Privacy Policy
Effective and last updated: August 16, 2026
Legal operator: Public Sentiment Dash is operated by PublicSentimentDash, LLC. In this Privacy Policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to PublicSentimentDash, LLC.
This Privacy Policy explains what information may be collected from website visitors, registered members, and future mobile-app users; how it is used; and the choices available to users.
Public Sentiment Dash is informational and educational only. It does not provide financial, investment, trading, tax, or legal advice.
Scope of This Policy
This Policy applies to information processed by PublicSentimentDash, LLC in connection with Public Sentiment Dash, including the public website, registered-member features, contact forms, voting, alerts, and related services that link to this Policy. Third-party websites and services are governed by their own privacy notices.
Information We Collect
- Account information: If you create an account, we collect your email address, encrypted authentication credentials, optional display name, account identifiers, confirmation and recovery status, and account creation or sign-in timestamps. Passwords are handled by the authentication provider and are not visible to Public Sentiment Dash in readable form.
- Member settings and content: We may store preferences, theme and timeframe choices, watchlists, alert rules, notification preferences, device-notification tokens, and account-deletion requests.
- Privacy-safe aggregate activity: We may count the page viewed, broad navigation destination, feature or button used, form name submitted, session start, instrument vote, whether the activity came from a registered member or guest, and the Eastern Time hour bucket in which it occurred.
- Broad context only: We may record a coarse region group inferred from the browser time zone, device class such as desktop, tablet, or mobile, and a broad traffic-source category such as direct, internal, search, social, or other. We do not store the raw browser time zone, GPS location, exact location, full external referring URL, or an IP-derived location in the activity report.
- What is not sent to activity measurement: We do not send names, email addresses, readable account IDs, passwords, typed form contents, search text, watchlist contents, alert contents, contact messages, exact timestamps, or voting identifiers to the aggregate activity report.
- Anonymous voting: The selected instrument, vote direction, date, and a browser-based voter identifier may be stored to display aggregated sentiment and reduce duplicate voting.
- Contact information: Information you voluntarily submit through a contact form is used to respond to your request.
- Cookies and browser storage: We may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for authentication, preferences, voting, analytics choices, security, and basic functionality.
- Hosting and security logs: Hosting and infrastructure providers may process IP address, user agent, request time, requested page, and related technical information for security, reliability, and troubleshooting.
How We Use Information
- Provide accounts, recovery, preferences, watchlists, alerts, and synchronized website/app features.
- Understand which pages and features are useful to members and guests.
- Improve navigation, content, performance, accessibility, and product design.
- Measure aggregate traffic and feature adoption by members and guests.
- Operate anonymous voting and display aggregate results.
- Prevent abuse, spam, fraud, security incidents, and technical failures.
- Respond to messages and comply with legal obligations.
Aggregate Activity Measurement and Privacy Choices
Public Sentiment Dash uses its own cookieless aggregate activity counters. The activity report stores totals in hourly Eastern Time buckets and does not create a persistent analytics visitor profile. A temporary browser-session flag may be used only to avoid counting the same tab session more than once.
The browser’s Do Not Track setting is respected by the site’s aggregate activity script. Essential authentication, security, account preferences, and anonymous voting may still operate because they are separate from activity measurement.
Reports compare only aggregate “member” and “guest” activity. They do not include a member’s email, name, readable account ID, private settings, saved watchlists, or alert contents.
Advertising
The website and future app may display advertising. Advertising providers may use cookies or similar technologies subject to user consent and their own policies. We intend to keep advertising separate from account credentials and private member settings. PublicSentimentDash, LLC does not sell personal information for money.
Third-Party Service Providers
Service providers may process information only as needed to provide their services. Current or planned providers may include Supabase for authentication, database services, and aggregate counters; GitHub or Cloudflare for hosting and content delivery; advertising services; Formspree or similar form services; and Apple or Google for future mobile distribution and notifications.
External websites and articles have their own privacy practices. Public Sentiment Dash is not responsible for third-party websites.
Data Retention
We retain information only as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, account operation, security, backups, legal obligations, and dispute resolution. Account information and personalized settings may be retained while an account is active and during processing of a deletion request. Privacy-safe aggregate activity rows are automatically limited to a rolling period of approximately 12 months. Local browser voting identifiers remain until they are cleared from the browser or otherwise expire.
Data Security
We use reasonable safeguards such as encrypted connections, managed authentication, access controls, and database security policies. No online system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Choices and Requests
- Enable the browser’s Do Not Track setting to stop the site’s privacy-safe aggregate activity script.
- Update account profile, preferences, watchlists, and notification settings.
- Request password recovery through your registered email.
- Request account and personalized-data deletion through the account page or contact page.
- Clear cookies or local storage through browser controls.
- Where applicable law provides additional access, correction, deletion, or opt-out rights, submit a request through the contact page.
Children’s Privacy
The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Users under the age of legal majority should use the service only with appropriate parental or guardian involvement.
International Visitors
Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where service providers operate. Privacy protections may differ from those in your country.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy as the website, app, providers, or legal requirements change. The updated date will appear at the top of this page. Material changes may also be communicated through the service.
